Amanda is a wife and proud dog mom to four lovable rescue pups. After running a photography side business since 2011, she eventually traded her corporate career for something far more fulfilling — capturing the beauty, joy, and authenticity of real people. Working with passionate entrepreneurs and couples in love gave her the confidence to leave “safe” behind and create a photography experience that lets each person’s true light shine.
When she’s not behind the camera, Amanda’s usually exploring — whether it’s a spontaneous weekend trip to the Colorado mountains or an international adventure filled with new foods and sights. She loves a good glass of wine, great company (even if it’s just the dogs and her husband), and believes tacos should absolutely be a weekly tradition.

Justin Maughmer is the best “Voice-Activated Light Stand” a girl could ask for. He keeps Pink Poppy Media running smoothly — always up on the latest Canon gear and keeping files extra safe. When he’s not working, he’s usually firefighting, gaming, cooking Mexican food, or occasionally bringing coffee to bed.
Amanda and Justin married in Iceland in 2018 after meeting while working for the U.S. Antarctic Program — where the “nerdy IT guy” became the hero of her story. Their shared love for adventure has taken them from New Zealand to Antarctica and beyond. At home, they enjoy good wine, craft brews, and making life cozy for their three rescue pups.

FIRE RESCUE DOG CALENDAR
At Pink Poppy Media, we love a good cause almost as much as we love a good photo! That’s why we’re proud to partner with Lifeline Puppy Rescue and the Fire Rescue Dog Calendar, using our photography to help support rescue pups and the heroes who save them. While we don’t chase puppies around with our cameras (tempting as that may be), we do take on the very tough job of photographing the Fire Rescue Dog Calendar—capturing firefighters who lend their time (and their good looks) to raise funds for these deserving dogs. It’s a hard job, but someone has to do it… all in the name of saving puppies, of course!
